Traditional annual donation handover before Christmas
We are continuing the tradition of the donation campaign and are supporting four special organizations in the vicinity of our Storopack locations this year. Our local employees have the honorable task of handing over donation checks to social institutions in Germany, the United Kingdom and China. These include the Diakonie-Sozialstation in Metzingen, the Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis outpatient children's hospice service in Mosbach, the Shanghai Charity Foundation in Shanghai and the Children's Hospital in Sheffield.
The dedicated employees of the Diakonie-Sozialstation Metzingen e. V. help families in caring for their relatives. We want to support this valuable work with this donation. The donation is therefore intended to be used to purchase smartphones and tablets for the field staff and thus take an important step towards digitalization.
The outpatient children's hospice service Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis e.V. is also being supported with a donation of 12,500 euros in recognition of the voluntary work. The employees advise and support affected families in their home environment and stand by them in difficult times.
In a small ceremony at the Shanghai Charity Foundation, the cheque was ceremoniously handed over by a Storopack employee together with a donation of the same amount. The donation supports one of the organization's many projects, namely the support of local elderly people.
Storopack also supports the Children's Hospital in Sheffield, which is one of only three specialist children's hospitals in the UK. The donation will fund vital research and treatment for thousands of children from all over the world and help to create a comfortable environment for young patients.
